Liverpool supporters have debuted a new chant for head coach Arne Slot as they close in on a 20th Premier League crown.

The Reds need to avoid defeat against Tottenham Hotspur to be crowned champions of England.

Supporters have been anticipating a special day at Anfield on Sunday with the prospect of winning the silverware in front of fans, after they were denied the opportunity in 2020 after the Coronavirus pandemic.



Slot is on the verge of guiding the Reds to success in his debut season after succeeding Jurgen Klopp last season, following on from his triumph with Feyenoord where he helped them to league and cup success.

The Dutchman had a chant before he stepped foot into the building, prior to his appointment at Anfield, the German addressed the Liverpool faithful before sparking, 'Arne Slot, la, la, la'.

The Anfield Wrap posted a video on X showing supporters teasing a new chant that could echo around L4 after clinching the Premier League on Sunday.

Supporters can be seen linked, dancing from side to side singing: "He brought us number 20 and his name is Arne Slot."

Former Liverpool CEO Peter Moore showed some insight into the previous Premier League title triumph that had to be celebrated away from the adoring Reds supporters.

The American posted a picture posed with two Reds icons Sir Kenny Dalglish and Ian Rush with the caption: "This was number 19…

"A runaway title victory, but bittersweet because of the absence of those who put us on their shoulders all the way to March of that year.

"Today will different, as Anfield will get to enjoy the chance to bring home number 20.

"Savor (sic) the moment…#YNWA"

With success on the horizon, the Dutchman admitted that he won't "go crazy".

He said: “I enjoyed it a lot when Feyenoord won the title – but I don’t go crazy.

"It wasn’t like I ran three times around the stadium.
