Liverpool have successfully completed the contract extension of prolific goalscorer Mohamed Salah amid much conundrum but they are still fighting to sign another PL star.

The last few days have been just blissful for the Merseyside faithfuls across the globe.

The news of contract renewals of two of the most crucial Reds, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, has taken the spirits high.

On top of that, the dramatic victory yesterday at King Power Stadium pushed the side one step closer towards the Premier League title.

Also, as the 32-year-old is getting old, the club needs a long-term alternative for him.

Liverpool executives has identified Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo as the potential Salah replacement as LFC scouts attended ‘a string of Brentford games’.

The latest report by journalist Alan Nixon via The Sun confirmed that the destined PL winners ‘still want to sign’ the Cameroonian international ‘despite Salah’s new deal’ and are ‘lining up a move’ for him.

Their earlier desperation had caused the Bees to demand a much higher price but now they ‘would want around £50million for Mbeumo’ as this could be their last chance to cash in on the 25-year-old whose contract is set to expire next year.

However, Liverpool are not the only party interested in Mbeumo.

The reports has also suggested Arsenal and Newcastle as potential suitors for the versatile winger.

As the season nears the end, the focus will be on completing it and then move forward with next season’s agenda.
