Liverpool are ready to sell club-record signing Darwin Nunez in the coming summer transfer window and gear up to sign Brentford star.

The last week for the Merseyside giants has been ecstatic as they confirmed the contract extensions of merciless attacker Mohamed Salah and towering skipper Virgil van Dijk within the span of seven days.

As the Reds look destined to secure the PL title this season, they have been able to retain this champion squad ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Although the future of Trent Alexander-Arnold at Anfield looks bleak, LFC are ready to take up the challenge and has already started working behind the curtains.

However, the club is also willing to let go of another big star who has made several headlines since joining the club.

Darwin Nunez, the £85m club-record signing, has majorly disappointed after joining the side back in 2022.

The Uruguayan forward has missed 53 big chances until now during his Liverpool career and has been unable to adapt to both Jurgen Klopp’s and Arne Slot’s tactics.

Alexander Isak is a potential candidate to replace the likely outbound ex-Benfica man.

However, Newcastle United will not be willing to let him go easily as they are also challenging for UCL next season and are estimating the forward’s valuation at around £150m.

FSG might not be entertaining this hefty price-tag so the hunt for alternatives is continuing.

According to CaughtOffside, LFC are interested in signing Bees star Bryan Mbeumo.

The Cameroonian international has featured in 37 games across all competitions and bagged 18 goals, assisting seven, just behind Salah, Isak, Erling Haaland and Chris Wood.

Traditionally a right-winger, the 25-year-old can also play as a centre-forward and an attacking midfielder.

The mid-table side are ready to sell Mbeumo for £50m so it might not be too high for the Merseysiders to spend.
