But Milos Kerkez and Dean Huijsen are likeliest to be on the move, not least with the latter having an attainable release clause set at around $68 million (£50 million).

Ahead of what could be a busy period for the Reds, Liverpool has been credited with an interest in both Kerkez and Huijsen.



With Andy Robertson having dropped off this season at left-back and a contract question to answer in the center with Ibrahima Konate, it does make sense.

And if Liverpool is to revamp a couple of positions, signing young but Premier League-proven players for what would be mid-range fees — relatively modest in modern terms — would be shrewd.
