New Liverpool head coach Arne Slot will have defender Jarell Quansah to turn to in the new season, despite links with a transfer away from the club.
Reports on Saturday from the Daily Mail claimed that Quansah was part of a potential deal that would have seen winger Anthony Gordon arrive from Newcastle.
Talks were however said to have broken down, with a potential deal now stalling.

Despite the report, The ECHO understands that Liverpool have no plans to sell Quansah and he will be part of plans under Slot for the new campaign.
It is understood that Newcastle asking for Quansah to be part of the deal proved to be one of the sticking points in talks between the clubs.
Speaking back in January, Jurgen Klopp admitted that Quansah’s performances in pre-season prompted him to change his summer transfer plans.
