Hello and welcome to your Liverpool transfer blog on Tuesday, April 15.

The Reds are now closing in on a record equalling 20th league title following a dramatic 2-1 win over West Ham at Anfield on Sunday afternoon

Virgil van Dijk got the winning goal - in the closing minutes - making up for a mistake which led to the Hammers' equaliser just a couple of minutes earlier.

His winner came in the week around him reportedly closing in on a new contract at Anfield following Mohamed Salah's new two-year deal.

If Arsenal lose against Ipswich in the 2pm kick-off, a win would secure the title for the Reds.

While the focus will remain on the task at hand until it is mathematically certain, Arne Slot will have a firm eye on the summer transfer window to improve his squad.

Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak has often been linked with the Reds and it is reported that they have made 'contact' with the Magpies over his signature.

Milos Kerkes is another player who continues to be linked with a switch to Anfield ahead of the summer transfer window.
