Darwin Nunez 'clause'
This alleged hit-out from Darwin Nunez comes in the aftermath of reports around a clause agreed between Liverpool and Benfica upon his transfer in 2022.
Originating from Portugal, it was explained how the Reds would owe another €5m (£4.2m) in achievable add-ons if he starts again for the club as this would be his 60th in the Premier League and Champions League combined.
The Uruguayan international cost an initial fee of €75m - which converted into £64m at the time - with the deal brokered also included €25m in these add-ons.
Liverpool nor Benfica clarified the exact breakdown of these add-ons.
Though the ECHO understands there is no suggestion the player is being omitted for financial reasons.

And asked about it at his pre-Tottenham press conference on Friday, Arne Slot commented: "Do you always believe what journalists say?
Sometimes you should, but sometimes it’s better not to believe everything that is written about players.
"This is completely new to me and I’ve said many times that I’m working at a club here where it’s really nice to work.
"So mainly sporting directors are judged by the players they bring in, for me it’s very important to have a great working environment and I have that with Richard (Hughes).
"The last, last, last, last, last thing he would do, as I expect working with him for 10 months, is tell me ‘if you play him it would cost us this much’.
"That, he would never, never, never do.
I don’t even know if it’s true, yes or no, because we never talk about that.
(take it with a pinch of salt)."
