James McConnell set to stay at Liverpool after impressive PSV display
After impressing against PSV Eindhoven last week, Arne Slot insisted Liverpool will reject any offers for James McConnell and the midfielder will stay at Anfield for the second half of the season.
Speaking in his post-match press conference, Slot said: "There's always a chance in life.
He definitely deserves credit for his performance today."

Sunderland eyeing move for Danns
Paul Joyce of The Times reports that Championship promotion hopefuls Sunderland are chasing a move for Liverpool forward Jayden Danns.
Danns, 19, scored in Liverpool's 4-0 win over Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup last month and was handed a first Champions League start in the 3-2 defeat to PSV Eindhoven last week.
Plymouth were credited with an interest in Danns in the summer, though any hope of the striker sealing a temporary move away from Anfield were dashed after he suffered a back injury during pre-season.

Premier League transfer latest: Rashford joins Villa, United target Tel
Elsewhere in the Premier League, there are plenty of deals to be done ahead of the window shutting at 11pm tonight.
As it stands, Manchester United are chasing a deal for Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel, though Sky Germany claims that talks between both clubs broke down last night.
If it is one in and one out at Old Trafford, then Marcus Rashford's departure on Sunday night could make way for Tel.

Liverpool's transfer activity so far
Just as it was in the summer it has been a quiet window for Liverpool, with no new signings arriving at Anfield this month.
But several players have departed Anfield temporarily, including Stefan Bajcetic, who swapped Red Bull Salzburg for Las Palmas last week.
Calvin Ramsay also swapped loan clubs, with the defender joining Kilmarnock after his loan spell at Wigan Athletic was cut short.

What can we expect from Liverpool today?
It's expected to be a quiet deadline day at Anfield, with no new signings and only a handful of (loan) departures.
As per The Athletic, Kaide Gordon is expected to seal a temporary move away from Anfield this afternoon, with the 20-year-old set to join Championship outfit Portsmouth for the rest of the season.
The forward spent the first half of the season with Norwich City but returned to Anfield last month due to a lack of game time.
Meanwhile, don't be surprised if Jayden Danns attracts interest from the Championship in the hours ahead after his recent displays for Arne Slot's side.
