It's claimed that the Sporting CP striker is the Gunners' number one target this summer.

Sepp van den Berg drops fresh transfer hint

Sepp van den Berg has hinted he could stay put at Liverpool, although he has reiterated his desire for regular playing time.

The defender had told Liverpool earlier in the summer that he wanted to leave, but having started both friendlies so far this summer, he looks to be softening his stance:

Furthermore, they are keen to extend Gordon's contract to 2029, with talks over a renewal said to be imminent.

As well as Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea are also said to be keen on the 23-year-old.

Achterberg makes Caoimhin Kelleher admission

Fabio Carvalho stance

Liverpool is not willing to let Fabio Carvalho go permanently this summer, according to Football Insider.

Another loan deal could be in the offing though after the Portuguese star spent last season with RB Leipzig and then Hull City.

Sepp van den Berg 'wants to leave'

Sepp van den Berg still wants to leave Liverpool this summer, according to Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg.

Bundesliga sides Stuttgart and Hoffenheim are claimed to have shown their interest in the defender, who started the friendly against Real Betis.

No talks have taken place yet with Stuttgart, although Hoffenheim has spoken to the player's representatives.

Newcastle is growing increasingly confident that it will keep hold of Anthony Gordon this summer, according to TeamTalk.

Hopes that Liverpool could renew its interest in the winger have been growing among supporters on social media, although a transfer looks as though it might be off the table for now.

Talks for Gordon broke down earlier in the summer when Newcastle wanted Jarell Quansah in return.

Curtis Jones injury update

Just one game into the pre-season tour of the US, and already Arne Slot has been handed an injury worry.

Curtis Jones was replaced around 30 minutes into the win over Real Betis in Pittsburgh, with the midfielder clearly feeling some discomfort.

Slot has now given an update on Jones, as well as praised his replacement Trey Nyoni - read from the Liverpool head coach after the win over Betis here.
