Barcelona enters Trent Alexander-Arnold race

Barcelona has joined Real Madrid in the race for Trent Alexander-Arnold, according to Fichajes.

With his contract set to expire next year, speculation has been rife over Alexander-Arnold's future, with Madrid said to be keeping an eye on his situation ahead of a potential pre-contract agreement in January.

Barca though has also reportedly set its sights on the Liverpool vice-captain.

Giorgi Mamardashvili deal could be hijacked

Manchester United could try to hijack Liverpool's move for Giorgi Mamardashvili, according to The Mirror.

The Valencia goalkeeper is being strongly linked with a move to Anfield, although a potential loan to Bournemouth is being touted first.

It's claimed though that Mamardashvili is also open to a move to Old Trafford, with United's chances of landing him potentially hinging on them offloading Jadon Sancho before the end of the window.

Johan Bakayoko move 'unlikely'

Liverpool is unlikely to make a move for Johan Bakayoko this summer, according to Football Insider.

The PSV Eindhoven winger has been linked with a move to Anfield, having been touted as a potential heir to Mohamed Salah.

According to this latest report though, Bakayoko has dropped down the Reds' list of priorities, with Liverpool not willing to meet PSV's asking price of $45m (£35m) due to already having plenty of options in attack.

Goncalo Inacio hint dropped

Sporting CP boss Ruben Amorim has hinted that Goncalo Inacio could be on the move amid links with Liverpool.

Portuguese outlet O Jogo reported that while Bruno Fernandes' agent Miguel Pinho was in the UK, Liverpool will seek a meeting with him about another of his clients - Inacio.

And Amorim has admitted that anything could still happen during the remainder of the window:

We already have some experience; we know that our players are very attractive for the market.

For me, Real Sociedad is the biggest club and I believe Zubimendi thought the same so he decided to reject LFC bid.

Joe Gomez linked with shock transfers

Joe Gomez has been linked with a couple of shock transfers as his Liverpool future is up in the air after being left out of the squad yesterday.

According to The Times, Chelsea is among a host of interested clubs which also includes Newcastle, Aston Villa and Fulham.

Bayern Munich has also been touted as a possible destination, with the German giants having sold both Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui to Manchester United recently.

Liverpool's stance on Joe Gomez

Liverpool is not actively looking to sell Joe Gomez before the transfer window shuts, according to the ECHO.

The defender was left out of the squad for the opening win over Ipswich yesterday as he considers his options.

Mamardashvili won't be let go on the cheap.

Joe Gomez transfer latest

Joe Gomez did not travel with Liverpool for its Premier League win vs Ipswich Town this weekend because he is exploring his options before the transfer window closes, The Times reported on Saturday.

Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Fulham, Chelsea and clubs abroad have all shown interest in the England centre-back.
