Liverpool has reportedly inquired about the specifics surrounding Dean Huijsen's release clause at Bournemouth.
The Spanish center-back, 19, only moved to Bournemouth last summer but his impressive performances for the Cherries have prompted interest from bigger clubs.
Liverpool is among those clubs, and transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reported that the Reds are taking steps to find out how any deal for Huijsen might work.
"Liverpool appreciate Dean Huijsen and have already made some contacts to understand how the release clause works," Romano said in a YouTube video shared on Sunday, March 23.
Real Madrid is another club that has been linked with Huijsen, and he was asked about those links while on Spain duty for the Nations League quarterfinal against the Netherlands.

"I'm not thinking about that right now," Huijsen told reporters on Thursday when asked about Madrid's apparent interest.

Meanwhile, a report by Scottish outlet Glasgow World says that Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo.
Endo has barely played for Liverpool since Arne Slot replaced Jurgen Klopp in the Anfield dugout last summer, and the likelihood is that he will move on this summer
AC Milan, Wolves, Fulham and Ipswich are also said to be keen on Endo, who is valued by Slot despite his lack of game time.
