New contracts for Salah and Van Dijk

Liverpool are 'keen' to extend Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk's contract thi summer but are refusing to bow down to their demands.

According to The Telegraph, the Reds will not offer them massive wages or long-term contracts.

As mentioned earlier, Adrian is due to play against his former club overnight when Real Betis take on Liverpool.

The goalkeeper is set for minutes against his old friends, with whom he still keeps in contact following his exit.

Liverpool want around £17m for him.

Now, Bundesliga clubs Stuttgart and Hoffenheim are keen on the centre-back, says Sky Germany, albeit the former's interest is not as strong as the latter's just yet.

Adrian explains Liverpool exit

In a twist of irony, Adrian will be facing former club Liverpool for new employers Real Betis in the USA tonight.

The goalkeeper left Anfield this summer, turning down a contract renewal in a bid to pursue more minutes elsewhere, with Betis keen to offer him that.

Salah and Van Dijk reality

Fans will know that both Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are in the final year of their contracts, and decisions over contract renewals might have to be made soon.

That's because both can start speaking to overseas clubs, and even agree pre-contact terms, from January.
