Liverpool have reportedly scouted the Feyenoord winger multiple times this season and have been left impressed, as reported by CaughtOffside.

Former Feyenoord manager Rob Jacobs has now urged Slot to raid his former club for the Brazilian attacker, describing him as a “dangerous” player who could significantly strengthen Liverpool’s attack.

Speaking to Dutch outlet Rijnmond Sport, he said:

“I really think he will make Liverpool stronger.

Arne Slot must also enjoy his development.

“Gakpo is of course also a fantastic player and is doing well at Liverpool, but I think Paixao is better.

The intensity is what makes it different.”

Aston Villa have also shown interest in Paixao but his connection with Slot gives Liverpool an edge.

However, with him playing the same position as Gakpo, a player who has done really well under Slot this season, it remains to be seen whether the Reds make a move for the Brazilian.
