Liverpool will look to continue their brilliant run of form under Arne Slot when they welcome Fulham to Anfield on Saturday.
The Reds face Marco Silva’s side on Saturday afternoon, with kick-off time set for 15:00 GMT.
The game represents their first league game since a 3-3 draw with Newcastle almost two weeks ago.
Although the Reds did not participate in last weekend’s Premier League action due to the Merseyside Derby being cancelled for safety reasons, they were in action in midweek in the UEFA Champions League.
Slot’s men beat Girona 1-0 to make it six wins in six Champions League games, meaning they are the only team with a 100% win rate in Europe’s premier club competition.
Not only did the win help them remain at the top of the Champions League table, but it also extended Liverpool’s unbeaten run to 18 games in all competitions (W16, D2).
Liverpool’s last defeat in any competition came at Anfield in the Premier League in September, when they lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest.
However, Liverpool have looked invincible at Anfield since that loss.
Slot’s well-oiled machine have won their last nine games at their home ground, keeping six clean sheets (including in the last four games) and scoring 24 times.
In that period, they faced top teams like Real Madrid, Manchester City, Aston Villa, Bayer Leverkusen, Brighton and Aston Villa without tasting defeat.
Therefore, it is easy to tag them as favourites here.
But Slot will be careful not to underestimate a Fulham side, who took points off Arsenal last time and are one of the last four teams to have won at Anfield in the Premier League since March 2021.
That said, ahead of this crunch tie, here are ten pre-match stats and records Liverpool will be chasing against Fulham.
Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold records
Salah goes into Saturday’s game at Anfield with 227 Liverpool goals to his name.
Should he score once against the Cottager, he will join the legendary Liddell in joint-fourth place on the club’s all-time goalscoring list.
Meanwhile, Alexander-Arnold could become the first Liverpool player to score in three consecutive matches against Fulham since Liddell in 1957.
Anfield December boost
Liverpool haven’t lost a league match at Anfield in the month of December since 2012 (v Aston Villa), going unbeaten in 33 such games since then.
Clinical at home
Arne Slot’s side have scored two or more goals in each of their last seven league games, last having a longer such run between September and December 2021 (11 in a row).
Hard to beat when leading
Liverpool have lost just one of the last 96 Premier League games which they’ve led at any point (W82, D13).
Liverpool, when Alexander-Arnold scores or assists
Trent Alexander-Arnold scored home and away against Fulham last season, and after his two assists against Newcastle, Liverpool haven’t lost any of the last 17 Premier League games he’s scored or assisted in (W12, D5).
Marco Silva’s record vs Liverpool
Fulham manager Marco Silva has managed just one win over Liverpool in 11 attempts with four different clubs (D4, L6).
Mohamed Salah’s scoring streak
Salah has scored in each of his last seven games in the Premier League.
Only three players – Ruud van Nistelrooy (twice), Jamie Vardy (twice) and Daniel Sturridge – have ever netted in eight or more such appearances in a row.
Another Mo Salah record
Salah has scored 99 goals in 140 home appearances in the Premier League (two for Chelsea, 97 for Liverpool).
If he scores against Fulham on Saturday, he will become the eighth player to total 100+ on home soil in the competition and the fourth-fastest after Alan Shearer (91 games), Thierry Henry (113) and Sergio Aguero (125).
Anfield vs Craven Cottage
Against Fulham in the Premier League era, Liverpool have scored more goals at Craven Cottage (33) than they have at Anfield (32).
Solid at the back
Thanks to the contributions of mostly Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate, Liverpool’s 11 goals conceded so far in this Premier League season is their second-lowest tally after 14 fixtures in the last 16 campaigns.
The 2018/19 season was the only season they conceded less at this stage of the season (five goals).
