Liverpool and Newcastle meet in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley on Sunday.

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle beat Arsenal in both legs of the semi-final to get to their second final in two years and are desperate to avenge their defeat to Manchester United at this stage in 2023.
For all the improvement Newcastle have made over the past few years, Howe’s side simply didn’t show up that day.
Things will surely be different here, albeit that may still not be enough to beat this Liverpool side.

Logic, as well as Liverpool’s form all season, would suggest that is likely to happen again.
Still, and while not to doubt Slot’s version of the team, Liverpool haven’t yet proven that under the Dutchman - purely because this is their first final together.
