Liverpool tonight host Newcastle in a huge Premier League game.

The Reds are flying at the top of the table and are widely expected to win the title, though will tonight be without manager Arne Slot – who is serving a touchline ban following his sending off at Everton earlier this month.

With that in mind, a win against a high-flying Newcastle side would be another big step towards the title, and perhaps an early statement of intent between the two ahead of the Carabao Cup final next month.

On their day, Newcastle can beat any team in the League but consistency remains an issue – sometimes even in games.
