Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain have both named unchanged teams tonight for their huge Champions League last-16 second-leg decider at Anfield.
The Reds hold a slender 1-0 advantage in the heavyweight tie after last week’s remarkable victory at the Parc des Princes where goalkeeper Alisson was in inspired form to somehow keep dominant PSG at bay before substitute Harvey Elliott scored an unlikely winner with his first touch just 47 seconds after coming off the bench late on.
It was the very definition of a smash-and-grab win and wounded PSG are out for swift revenge on Merseyside this evening, having managed to give many of their top stars a rest in a 4-1 triumph at Rennes in Ligue 1 on Saturday.
Liverpool, meanwhile, had to come from behind to defeat lowly Southampton at home in the Premier League at the start of what is a massive week for the champions-elect that culminates with Sunday’s Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
Arne Slot has received a boost with Cody Gakpo returning to fitness ahead of those massive games, but he joins Darwin Nunez on the bench with Diogo Jota again leading the attack.

A major talking point from the dramatic first leg in Paris last week was Ibrahima Konate getting away with a barge in the back of France team-mate Bradley Barcola that could easily have seen him sent off.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia also had an early goal chalked off for a marginal offside call.
PSG were left raging at the Konate decision, with tunnel footage showing advisor Luis Campos raging at Italian referee Davide Massa at half-time, leading to a withering retort from Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk.
Romanian Istvan Kovacs is the man in the middle tonight, supported by Germany’s Bastian Dankert on VAR duty.

PSG are also unchanged from the first leg, with Marquinhos back to captain the side in defence after being rested completely for Saturday’s typically dominant 4-1 win at Rennes in Ligue 1.
Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembele are also restored to the starting XI after being named on the bench at the weekend.
