The chiefs at Kirkby have barely backed Arne Slot with the transfers since the Dutchman took charge at L4 in the previous summer, but the upcoming summer transfer window is expected to be one of spending at Anfield Stadium, and they have already been voicing to bring in some commendable signings, with Newcastle United sensation Lewis Hall being among the potential targets.
The Merseysiders have to revamp their ageing defensive line, and it all starts with Andy Robertson, who has barely looked like the player he has been during his tenure serving the Reds badge.
Comes in Lewis Hall, who has been putting in some exemplary performances at Tyneside with his offensive skills while displaying his defensive awareness, and Liverpool are keen to explore a move for the 20-year-old, per Caught Offside.
But to add to it, Newcastle’s hefty asking price of £60m will complicate any probable transfer as they aren’t under any pressure to sell and could keep their grounds.
Liverpool’s search for a new left-back: Hall, Robinson, or Kerkez?
Hall is not the only player that the Merseysiders have been eyeing, with the likes of Fulham left back Antonee Robinson and Milos Kerkez also being spoken about at L4
All three of them have been putting in exceptional offensive performances and are athletic players who can run up and down the wing (something that Robinson has done for years).
It could well go down to the pricing factor to consider the player that moves to the Reds, given how the chiefs at Kirkby also have to invest in other positions when the summer window comes around.
