Luke Chambers has returned to Liverpool to continue his recovery from a back injury that cut short his loan stint at Wigan Athletic.
After remaining on the bench during a match against Leyton Orient earlier this month, new Wigan manager Ryan Lowe agreed to send the player back to Liverpool after Chambers reported feeling "didn't feel right" in training.

"It's down to Liverpool to come out and say that, but he won't be with us now," Lowe commented.
"His loan's finished, and he's back at Liverpool for his recovery and whatnot.
He came to see me and said he didn't feel right, we then spoke to Liverpool, and he obviously wasn't right.
"It is gutting for him, because he is a very talented footballer.
I think he's got a couple of years left at Liverpool, and I really hope he'll be back playing football before too long."
Last season, Chambers managed to make two starts for Liverpool in the Europa League.
