Sitting top of the Premier League after seven games makes pretty reading for Liverpool and Arne Slot - but the hardest fixtures still lie in wait.

Despite claiming 18 points out of a possible 21 to start the campaign, the Reds are yet to face any of last season's top seven sides during the early stages of the season, meaning home and away ties against some of the division's best are still yet to come.

Arsenal v Liverpool - Oct 27

The second of a challenging run of games that includes three home fixtures with Chelsea, Brighton and Aston Villa sees Liverpool travel to the capital to face title challengers Arsenal at the end of the month.

The first of two games with the Gunners this season, a defeat here could have a major psychological impact in the Premier League title race.

Following clashes with Chelsea and RB Leipzig just days before, this will be a real test of Liverpool's resolve.

Liverpool v Man City - Dec 1

Liverpool will have to wait until December to play its main title rivals in recent years but by this point, both could be sitting pretty in the top two of the Premier League, making for a monumental clash at Anfield.

The Reds haven't beaten Manchester City in its last four meetings and a defeat here could have serious implications on the title race.

Liverpool must still face Manchester City home and away in the Premier League this season.

However, victory could also lay down a huge marker for Liverpool's title credentials.

Chelsea v Liverpool - May 3

Liverpool is unbeaten on its last four trips to Stamford Bridge but Chelsea ever so slightly looks as though it is finally turning a corner under new boss Enzo Maresca this season, with the Blues currently fourth in the Premier League after making a positive start to the campaign.

Should the west Londoners maintain their form, a trip to Stamford Bridge in Liverpool's penultimate away game of the season could have serious ramifications if they fail to pick up all three points - especially with a clash against Arsenal taking place the following week.

And that brings us onto this mammoth fixture just three games before the end of the Premier League season

Both looking to be well in the mix for the title by this point, this clash between the Reds and the Gunners could be an all-time classic.
