Liverpool's chances of securing Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk on new long-term contracts may have received a significant boost following the lucrative agreement with Adidas.
This marks a return to the three-striped brand for Liverpool, having previously been supplied by Adidas between 1985-1996 and 2006-2012.
While fans are celebrating the news that Liverpool will be returning to Adidas next season, the club's management is likely grinning at the prospect of the deal.

This could not have come at a better time for Liverpool, considering the discussions with both Salah and Van Dijk, as well as Trent Alexander-Arnold, another star whose contract is due to expire, over a new contract
Alexander-Arnold has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid, but there is high confidence that agreements can be reached with Salah and Van Dijk - provided the financials align.
Adidas executives will likely be hoping that Liverpool can secure contract extensions as well, considering they would undoubtedly want Salah or Van Dijk - ideally both - to promote next season's kits when they are unveiled
As things stand, neither will be at the club beyond this summer.
