Liverpool could face an all-Premier League route to the Champions League final should they get past Paris Saint-Germain in the last-16.

The Reds were paired with the French giants in Friday's draw, with the bracket also opening up for their potential route to the Munich final.

Should Liverpool beat PSG then they will face the winners of the last-16 tie between Club Brugge and Villa, and then were they to win that they would face a semi-final against either Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, PSV Eindhoven or Arsenal.

Liverpool progressed straight into the last-16 of the revamped competition as top seeds after finishing top of the 36-team league phase, with the Reds registering an impressive seven wins from their eight matches.

They were on a 100 per cent record of seven wins from seven thanks to victories over AC Milan, Bologna, RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen, Real Madrid, Girona and Lille, only losing 3-2 to PSV Eindhoven in their final match when Arne Slot heavily rotated his side.

The highlight of that league phase run was undoubtedly the 2-0 Anfield victory over Real Madrid, when Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo found the net, and stand-in goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher saved a penalty from Kylian Mbappe.

The Reds also thrashed Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen 4-0 at Anfield thanks largely to hat-trick from Luis Diaz(
