However, the report went on to add that the 'wild' proposal of Newcastle getting Nunez plus cash for Isak has already been 'dismissed out of hand'.
While Liverpool are likely to monitor Isak's situation in the hope of potentially luring the striker to Anfield, Newcastle's chief executive, Darren Eales, has stressed that Isak and the club's other top talent are on long-term contracts, putting the club in a strong position.
“The reality is that all of our players are under long-term deals,” Eales said, per The i Paper.
