Links to Alexander Isak are gathering pace.
Centre-forward aside, though, it is starting to become clear that Liverpool are also ready to do some work on the left side of their attack.

Liverpool are well stocked on the left side of their attack and have been for a number of years.

However, it has been reliably reported this week that Liverpool tried to sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in 2024, before leaving him on-loan at Napoli for the 2024/25 season.

Clearly, they were happy with Diaz and Gakpo for the season ahead, but it seems that a plan has already been in place to move on from either one or the other in 2025.

It could have been that it was Kvaratskhelia or no one for Hughes and Liverpool and they are instead happy to proceed with Diaz and Gakpo into the future.
But Diaz has been relentlessly linked with Barcelona.
His form has tailed off in the second half of the season and it now feels like an exit could be good timing for everyone involved.
If Liverpool are to then enter the left winger market, then there are plenty of exciting options out there.
