Liverpool return to Premier League action at long last this week with the second and final Merseyside derby of the season.

The Reds head into Wednesday’s massive clash against Everton at Anfield with a 12-point lead over second-place Arsenal, where Liverpool could realistically see their dominance at the top of the standings extended depending on what happens this week.

With just nine games next to go, there’s every chance that Liverpool could wrap up the Premier League title in April, a feat that few would now have expected from Arne Slot in his first year in charge with the Reds.

Yet heading into tomorrow’s game, there is a question about who could start at right-back with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Conor Bradley out injured, with today’s training session providing a potential answer.

According to Sky Sports News, the Northern Ireland international was seen in Liverpool training this afternoon, however, Bradley was spotted doing an individual training programme, indicating that the defender will not be fit to face Everton.

The reporter said: “Conor Bradley, we have seen him in training but it looks like he’s working on his own individual programme.

He hasn’t played since that 2-2 draw on February 19th against Aston Villa.”

With Steve McManaman predicting Bradley to replace Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool next season, the defender being out injured as the same time as the England international has come at the worst possible time for the youngster.

However, with Bradley working on his own individual training plan, there’s a good chance that the right-back could be back in action in the coming weeks, where the youngster will have a shot to show supporters why is a contender to replace Alexander-Arnold in the future.

Liverpool will want to return to winning ways against Everton after a month in the season where the Reds were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League by PSG and lost the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United.

And heading into this week’s Merseyside derby at Anfield, Jarrel Quansah is the obvious pick for Liverpool to start against Everton, with the defender taking up the position against the Toon at Wembley Stadium before the international break.

Indeed, the centre-back could do a job at home against Everton despite not covering himself in glory earlier this month against Newcastle, yet in a game as big as the derby, Quansah will be up for the occasion, especially with his status as an academy graduate.
