His improvement has been credited to new manager Arne Slot, who has given him confidence and refined his tactical play.

Slot’s arrival has been a smooth transition for Liverpool.

Despite having several top players competing for positions, he has managed the squad well.

Diaz spoke highly of his coach, saying, “Our coach has settled in really well at the club.”

“He’s known just exactly how to manage the group and every single player that he has in the squad… He’s put into practice some very important things for us tactically.”

Liverpool currently sit at the top of the Premier League table with a 13-point lead.

Diaz and his teammates are focused on finishing the season strong.

But for Diaz, there’s also a personal milestone in sight.

Diaz wants to become the Premier League’s highest-scoring Colombian of all time.

He has 25 goals so far, ranking fourth behind Juan Pablo Angel (44), Hamilton Ricard (31), and Hugo Rodallega (29).

“Now and again, I find out about the stats when people post them on social media,” Diaz said via the club’s official website.

“But how nice it is to be getting close to such great fellow Colombian players like Hugo and all the others.”

“It’s a real pleasure for me to be right there close behind them and I realise that maybe I will catch them at some point.”

For Diaz, this goal is not just about personal glory.

He wants to make an impact for Colombian footballers in England.

“You could say that it’s another one of those personal targets that I have.”

“I know that things are going well for me and I’m in decent form,” he added.

But his ultimate focus remains on team success.

Diaz has already won the Carabao Cup (twice), the FA Cup, and the Community Shield with Liverpool.

Now, he wants to add the Premier League title to his collection.

“We all know already just how hard it is to win the Premier League title,” he said.

“I think it’s very obvious that it gets harder every year too.”

“Even though [Manchester] City have won it a few times, it is still very difficult to manage to win it.”

With ten games left, Diaz and Liverpool are determined to finish strong.

“It’s all about keeping working in the same way and staying focused and remaining grounded because there is still ages to go yet,” he said.

“We need to rest up between games too as that is going to be super-important for us.”

If Diaz keeps his form, he could soon break the Colombian record.

But more importantly, he hopes to help Liverpool lift the league trophy once again.
