Luis Enrique on Anfield clash: We’ve got nothing to lose
After his side’s 4-1 win over Stade Rennais, Luis Enrique made it clear that PSG are coming to Anfield with confidence.
He said, “I think we’ll be in the best possible shape for the Liverpool game.”
“We’ve got nothing to lose?
Our only objective is victory and that’s what we’re going for.”
The PSG boss admitted his side was frustrated after the first leg but believes their latest win gives them a boost.
He explained, “Football allows for surprises; it is true that we were down and sad after the (first-leg) game but as we have analysed the game and after beating Rennes, which is a difficult team, it makes us hopeful.”
Enrique doubled down on his belief that PSG will be a dangerous opponent, saying, “I repeat, we have nothing to lose, which makes us a more dangerous team than we usually are.”
Liverpool will need to be at their best to finish the job.
