Alexis Mac Allister has been one of Liverpool’s best players this season, and to the surprise of nobody, the midfielder is now on Real Madrid’s radar.
Marca have recently reported that the Argentine international is on the La Liga giant’s list for the summer transfer window, though there is already an expecation that Mac Allister will be a difficult player for Madrid to sign.
With Mac Allister’s father also saying that the midfielder is happy at Liverpool, the chances of the former Brighton & Hove Albion man swapping Anfield for the Bernabeu this summer remain slim, especially with the Reds on course to win the Premier League title.
Yet previous comments from Mac Allister could worry Liverpool supporters in regards to the 26-year-old one day leaving for Madrid.

It’s no real surprise that clubs like Madrid and FC Barcelona are viewed by South Americans as the pinnacle of football, with the La Liga giants being two of the biggest clubs in all of sport who have achieved mythologicial status.
And the opinion also appears to be held by Mac Allister, who admitted in an interview last year that he can picture himself playing in La Liga, though the Liverpool man did not disclose which team he would like to represent.
Indeed, Mac Allister moving feels like a realistic future given the Argentine’s style of play, and links to Madrid this week will only future a potential switch to Spain in the years to come, with the Liverpool no.

With Trent Alexander-Arnold likely to join Madrid, Liverpool know first-hand the pull Los Blancos have on the world’s best players, with Carlo Ancelotti’s side capable of attracting anyone in the game if they set their mind to it.
And although Mac Allister is unlikely to follow Alexander-Arnold to the Spanish capital this summer, Madrid have shown they are willing to play the waiting game to sign players deemed worthy to become part of their squad.
