Manchester City has swooped in to sign Christian McFarlane from sister club New York City, marking a "dream come true" for the young talent.
The 18-year-old English-born left-back has been with New York City since he was 11 and makes his way to the Etihad for an undisclosed sum.
Having only made his senior debut last season, McFarlane has already donned the England jersey for the under-16 and under-17 teams.
New York City will also benefit from a cut of any future transfer fee.
