Erling Haaland is only on the bench for Manchester City in its crucial Champions League play-off game with Real Madrid.

The striker went off injured last weekend, handing Pep Guardiola a scare before its game with Liverpool next Sunday.

With Manchester City a goal behind heading to the Bernabeu, it would ordinarily have played Haaland from the start.



It remains to be seen whether he will be fine to start at the Etihad Stadium at the weekend when Liverpool will hope to take the three points.
