Liverpool handed Marmoush warning
Former Liverpool defender Markus Babbel has backed Omar Marmoush to give the Reds a difficult time against Manchester City today, although he still expects the visitors to win at the Etihad.
Speaking to Makthavare, Babbel said:
Omar Marmoush’s arrival is part of the reason why Man City will provide Liverpool with a much tougher challenge today than they have posed to some teams in recent months.
The game will be available on TV and for streaming on Peacock.

Man City team predicted
We're not buying Pep Guardiola trying to suggest Erling Haaland might be out today, right?
We're fully expecting the Norwegian to start against Liverpool today, with Man City forced into a change at the back as Nathan Ake comes in for the injured John Stones.
Man City predicted team vs Liverpool: Ederson, Lewis, Dias, Ake, Gvardiol, Gonzalez, Kovacic, Marmoush, Foden, Savinho, Haaland.

Liverpool predicted team
We're expecting just the one change today from Arne Slot, who faces a big decision over Cody Gakpo.
A late call will be made on the winger's fitness, but given Liverpool still has plenty of games to come this season, we're not taking the risk.
Diogo Jota continues up top, with Darwin Nunez simply not looking ready for a start at the moment.
Predicted Liverpool line-up vs Aston Villa: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz; Jota.

Erling Haaland injury latest
All eyes are on Erling Haaland ahead of today's game, with Manchester City set to be without at least four players at the Etihad.
Haaland was left on the bench against Real Madrid during the week after picking up a knock against Newcastle, with Pep Guardiola insisting on Friday he doesn't know whether his striker will be fit enough to face Liverpool.
City will definitely be without John Stones though after he was forced off at the Bernabeu.
He joins Manuel Akanji, Rodri and Oscar Bobb on the sidelines.

Liverpool injury news
Liverpool will need to make a late decision on Cody Gakpo for today's game against Manchester City.
The Netherlands international has missed the last two games with an ankle knock, and he hadn't made a return to training when Arne Slot spoke to the media on Thursday.

Klopp turns down Slot invites
Arne Slot has revealed Jurgen Klopp turned down his invites to return to Anfield earlier this season.
Speaking ahead of today's game against Manchester City, the Liverpool boss lifted the lid on his exchanges with his predecessor:
I invited him, I think, to the City and Real games, but he told me he has a job and is somewhere else in the world.
He can be here every single time he wants to come - either to the training ground or the games.
