Manchester United and Liverpool are interested in signing Lyon sensation Rayan Cherki at the end of the campaign, as per Mirror.

The Frenchman has been in tremendous form for Les Gones this season.

He has amassed 10 goals and 18 assists in all competitions.His form has caught the eye of elite Premier League clubs and reports claim that United and Liverpool are leading the race for his services.

Cherki is expected to be sold by Lyon amid their financial crisis and he could be prised away for just £20m in the next transfer window.



United could have an edge over the Reds in the pursuit, having previously invited Cherki to their training ground as a 16-year-old.The 21-year-old was not convinced to join them from Lyon back then, but could be tempted to accept the challenge this summer.Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in the past
