A man ‘started crying’ to his mum after receiving a surprising email.
Alex Edwards, 30, moved from Merseyside to Perth in Australia several years ago.
He still keeps in touch with his mum Sharron, who is originally from Dingle but now lives on Heswall.
Speaking to the ECHO, Sharron said: “He has always been a fan.
Alex is such a nice and lovely guy.”
However, unbeknownst to his mum, Alex entered a raffle from West Derby-based hospice Zoe’s Place to win two tickets to this Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Newcastle.
This morning, he rang up Sharron to tell him that he has been successful.
He rang me at 5am asking if I could help with the travel arrangements.
