Manchester City have received a huge injury boost ahead of their upcoming clash against Liverpool.

Liverpool and Manchester City will renew their rivalry next month when they face at Anfield for a possible top-of-the-table clash in the Premier League.

But before the game at Anfield, Arne Slot’s side have the chance to ensure that their lead at the top remains at five points this weekend when they face Southampton.

Meanwhile, the gap between City and Liverpool could widen even further before the game, given that the Cityzens have a tough outing at the weekend against Tottenham.

Although City remain a solid side on their day, they have struggled recently due to injury problems.

The absence of influential midfielder Rodri has particularly been hard for them to manage, resulting in them losing their last four games in all competitions.

However, they are set to receive a huge boost in the coming days after three of their stars returned to first-team training.
