Fulham have been handed a major injury boost ahead of the Premier League clash against Liverpool.

The Reds will make the trip to Craven Cottage on Sunday as they return to top-flight action and look to move a step closer to winning the league title.

Arne Slot's side have a 12-point lead going into the weekend's fixture thanks to the win over Everton in the Merseyside derby in midweek.

The gap between themselves and second-placed Arsenal could be reduced to nine points if the Gunners beat the Toffees in the Saturday lunchtime kick-off.

Ahead of the game, Fulham have been handed a huge boost with one of their key players returning from injury.

Manager Marco Silva has confirmed that right-back Kenny Tete is in contention to feature after missing the last four months with a knee injury, which he suffered in the 2-2 draw with Liverpool back in December at Anfield.

One player who will not be available for Fulham is Harry Wilson, who left Liverpool to move to Craven Cottage in 2022.

Wilson has been sidelined with a foot injury since January but is closing in on a return.

“Kenny Tete is training 100 per cent with the team and it’s a matter of time for him to be in the squad list,” Silva told reporters on Friday, via Fulham's club website.

“He is going to be in contention to be involved.

It could be Liverpool, it could be other games, it will be my decision.

Soon, we are going to see him involved in the squad list.

Former Liverpool midfielder Harry Wilson is nearing a return to full fitness for Fulham.

“It’s nice to see Harry Wilson around the squad, on the grass, doing some individual work.

He will be with us soon and that’s great news in terms of the wide attacking areas of the pitch, where you miss a player of his characteristics, who can help the team.”

Fulham will also be without Arsenal loanee Reiss Nelson, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury after undergoing surgery earlier this year.

Liverpool will also have some players on the sidelines when they face Fulham this weekend.

Joe Gomez (hamstring) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (ankle) are already ruled out with injury, while decisions will need to be made over Alisson Becker (concussion) and Conor Bradley (hamstring) for the trip to Craven Cottage.
