There aren't many teams in world soccer that Matheus Cunha wouldn't get into and most Liverpool fans would no doubt love to see him donning a red shirt next season.

The 25-year-old underlined his quality at Anfield over the weekend, scoring a stunning goal during Wolves' 2-1 defeat by the Reds at Anfield.

And it is goals like that which will no doubt have some Liverpool fans reading a bit too much into an exchange between Cunha and two of Arne Slot's players prior to kick-off on Merseyside.

Cunha and Konate hugged for around five seconds while chatting ahead of the game, before the Brazilian moved on to hug compatriot Alisson.

Cunha has shared a dressing room with both players previously, having spent a season and a half at RB Leipzig at the same time that Konate was at the Bundesliga club, while Cunha and Alisson have represented Brazil together on a number of occasions.

Liverpool could be in the market for a new forward this summer, amid speculation that Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez could all leave the club, and Cunha would undoubtedly be an exciting signing for the Reds.
