It seems signings are getting younger and younger each year, with one recent addition starting to climb the ranks after previously being praised by Yaya Toure.
There is still a definite Scouse presence in Liverpool's youth setup; the Academy has produced notable "true" homegrown successes in the form of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones, while the likes of Jayden Danns are showing promise in the new generation of players.
Because signings really are getting younger all the time, with Liverpool making a concerted effort to snap up lots of the best possible youth talent around.
Back in 2023, Liverpool moved to sign a teenager called Harvey Owen from Wolves.
Just 14 at the time, Owen set Liverpool back $1m (£800k), per the Daily Mail.
"He personally went up to Harvey and said that he had a lot of potential and would be a really good player in the future, so I think he'll be really proud of that."
Owen has continued that momentum at Liverpool.
Liverpool lost 5-0 to Blackburn Rovers, with the Reds currently second from bottom in the northern section of the division.
But the function of the youth team is always to send the best players higher up
Liverpool is faring somewhat better at U21 level, and the senior team is obviously thriving on the watch of Arne Slot with the help of stars who have come up through the system.
The hope is that Owen can eventually make that journey for himself
