Micah Richards has opened up about previous text conversations with Everton's James Tarkowski following his tackle on Alexis Mac Allister in the Merseyside derby.
Tarkowski was lucky not to be sent off for a strong challenge on Mac Allister during the midweek loss to Liverpool at Anfield, an incident later acknowledged by the PGMOL.
Tarkowski caught the Argentine high on the back of the calf in a tackle that Liverpool head coach Arne Slot admitted could have seriously injured his midfielder.
Following the incident, Tarkowski spoke to Mac Allister to apologize, insisting that he never intended to harm the Liverpool player.
