Micah Richards feels that Liverpool could freshen up their squad in every position after a lacklustre Carabao Cup final performance.
The Premier League title is now Liverpool's only hope of silverware this season - albeit an incredibly strong hope with a 12-point gap at the top opened up.
Although this would mark a more than stellar first season in charge for new boss Slot, Richards still feels there is work to be done in the transfer market come the summer.
"I think they can freshen up everywhere, I really do," Richards told colleague Gary Lineker on The Rest Is Football podcast.
"I think a good thing about it is Slot's got an opportunity to get exactly what he wants into this system and this team.
That's remarkable in itself.
"I think they need a nine and I think they need a left-back - I think [Andy] Robertson has been a fantastic servant for Liverpool but I know they've been linked with [Milos] Kerkez at Bournemouth.
I'm looking forward to seeing what they do business-wise, but I think they need to freshen up in all positions."
New recruit Chiesa's added-time goal would only go down as a consolation, and it was the Reds' forward line, specifically winger Luis Diaz, who Richards felt played slightly blunted on Sunday.

"I was sort of disappointed with Luis Diaz," he continued.
He's been up and down.
"I'm not picking out Diaz at all, but I just think on a big pitch like Wembley, where at times there was space to exploit gaps, I just wanted to see a little bit more.
"This team, at times, is so reliant on Mo Salah - expecting a worldie from him, a penalty, a free-kick, whatever it may be.
