Michael Owen has praised Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch for seizing his opportunity this season after the club missed out on signing Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad last summer.
Owen, who netted 158 goals in 297 appearances for the Reds, believes that Liverpool's squad dynamics put them in a strong position to avoid transfer errors.
And under Slot's guidance, Owen feels the Dutch international has really excelled and showed his true quality.
"From Gravenberch's point of view, you could say he's got lucky, but he's also grasped his chance," Owen commented while working as a pundit for Premier League Productions over the weekend.
"If Zubimendi signed, you have got no doubts they still would have won the league and it would have been a great signing, I guess.

Several players who have made the switch to the Old Trafford side could have been successes had they joined a more stable club like Liverpool instead
If that game ends in a draw, Slot's men will just need one point from their weekend clash with Tottenham to secure the title with another four games to spare.
