Milos Kerkez continues to create headlines, not only because of his performances for Bournemouth this season but because of a possible summer transfer to Liverpool.

On a week Arne Slot's men hope to be crowned Premier League champions, the full-back is tipped as a 'top target' to boost their ranks.

Kerkez was signed by Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar two summers ago with current Reds sporting director Richard Hughes masterminding the deal when in the same position at the Vitality Stadium.



Since, the 21-year-old has racked up 61 Premier League appearances and has been a key player in the Cherries fight for European football.

The ECHO understand that Liverpool do have an interest in the Hungarian national teammate of Dominik Szoboszlai and have kept an eye on him with the summer window approaching.

So, with that the ECHO has rounded up the latest reports surrounding Kerkez's future with some interesting developments.

First this afternoon, The Daily Mail claimed that an 'important recruitment meeting' was conducted at Anfield last week to discuss plans for the summer.

From this meeting they say a £95m double swoop for Bournemouth duo Kerkez and Dean Huijsen is being plotted.

The Hungarian is described as a 'top target'.

This comes after questions have been asked of 31-year-old Andy Robertson all season long and the same can be said of his deputy, Kostas Tsimikas.

The report puts more emphasis onto the fact Chelsea in particular, but also Arsenal and Newcastle United, are challengers for Dean Huijsen's signature.

Given the Spanish centre half has a known release clause of £50m, that would suggest Kerkez on his own is rated in the region of £45m.

Despite the Reds' reported admiration of Kerkez, another lunchtime article from Sky Sports would suggest there are obstacles that lie on the path to his transfer.

It is alleged that Spanish giants Real Madrid and 2024/25 defending Premier League champions Manchester City are also keen on acquiring his services.

Real have had injury problems with current first-choice Ferland Mendy having missed a large chunk of the campaign through injury, while Pep Guardiola is currently reliant on 20-year-old midfielder Nico O'Reilly as a makeshift left-back solution.

As for Liverpool themselves, the report claims that a left-back signing is a 'priority' for the club this summer and Kerkez has been their man for 'some time'.

Earlier this week the ECHO covered Kerkez's latest social media activity which sent Liverpool supporters into meltdown.

He had previously liked posts from Fabrizio Romano reporting Mohamed Salah's and Virgil van Dijk's contract extensions, then after Sunday's narrow win over Leicester City he was seen in the comment section of Szoboszlai's subsequent post.

It was also most likely in reference to the fact his friend moved within three points of becoming a Premier League champion.

But there were plenty of replies to that comment from wishful thinkers, hoping it may be a hint towards the club he could sign for in a matter of months.
