Liverpool reportedly have the advantage over Manchester United in the race for target Milos Kerkez.

The Bournemouth left-back has been linked with a move to Anfield after an impressive season at the Vitality Stadium.

Known for his explosiveness in attack, Kerkez is considered a good replacement for the ageing Andy Robertson.

The Scotsman has been a great servant of the club since his move from Hull City?

However, he has lost some of his explosiveness and defensive tenacity and has somewhat struggled this season.

Liverpool are thought to be keen on signing a cover in the summer, and Bournemouth left-back Kerkez is one of the possible options.

However, Arne Slot’s side face strong competition from Manchester United in the race for the Hungarian.

The Red Devils are also looking to sign a left back and have the 21-year-old as an option.

Reports emerged last month that Ruben Amorim’s side were ahead of Liverpool in the race for the player.

But a recent report has now revealed that Liverpool have an advantage in the race.

Milos Kerkez prefers Liverpool move

According to a report by The I Paper, the Hungarian left-back is reportedly favouring a move to Anfield over going to Manchester United despite strong interest from the Old Trafford side.

“United are also very much in the hunt for a left-back, with Ruben Amorim making a major signing in that position a priority,” the report said.

“With Kerkez understood to be currently favouring an Anfield switch, Paris Saint-Germain’s Nuno Mendes remains their (Manchester United’s) top pick.

The report also adds that Liverpool have another left-back option if they fail to secure the services of Kerkez.

“If a move for Kerkez does not materialise, for whatever reason, Wolves’ Rayan Ait-Nouri is thought to be next on Liverpool’s hitlist,” the report added.

“Hughes (Liverpool sporting director), however, is understood to be prioritising another Kerkez swoop.”
