Milos Kerkez has reacted to news confirming that Mohamed Salah is close to renewing his contract at Liverpool.

Reports from several reliable sources went out on Wednesday confirming that the 32-year-old, whose current Liverpool deal ends this summer, is close to agreeing to stay at the club for a few more years.

Salah and Liverpool have been locked in intense discussions about the player extending his eight-year stay at the club beyond this summer.

Despite being 32 years old, Salah has remained as consistent as ever, helping Liverpool to the top of the Premier League table with his goals and assists.

His form and popularity led to genuine interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.

However, he is set to extend at Liverpool after finally reaching a breakthrough in negotiations.

One reliable source, who reported Salah’s impending contract renewal, was The Times Journalist Paul Joyce.

He wrote: “Mohamed Salah is closing in on an agreement with Liverpool to extend his contract and remain at Anfield.

“After a breakthrough in negotiations with Virgil van Dijk, the club’s captain, it is understood that there is a growing expectation that a new deal will also be struck with Salah.”

“His career is set to continue at Liverpool.”

Another reliable journalist who reported the news on Wednesday was Fabrizio Romano.

“Mo Salah, closing in on new contract at Liverpool with deal ?????? ???? ????,” Romano wrote on Instagram.

“Negotiations are at final stages with Salah expected to put pen to paper and sign his new contract very soon.”

Romano’s Instagram post attracted a lot of comments and reactions, including from Liverpool target Milos Kerkez.

Eagle-eyed Instagram users noticed that the Bournemouth left-back was among the over 7,15,000 people who liked Romano’s post confirming Salah’s impending Liverpool contract.

This is not the first time Kerkez, who is at this point considered one of Liverpool’s major summer targets have reacted to contract news of players associated with the Reds.

The Hungarian, sent Liverpool fans into a frenzy earlier this week by liking a post seemingly confirming that Liverpool were making progress with Virgil van Dijk’s contract talks.

Kerkez is close friends with Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai, and the pair often share their bromance on social media.

Liverpool fans will be hoping that his increased interest in the club’s players contracts means that he is Anfield-bound this summer.
