Mohamed Salah was once again Liverpool’s saviour, as the Reds came from behind to win 3-1 versus Southampton.
The Egyptian’s two goals not only secured Liverpool’s comeback, but it also made Reds history in the process.
The 32-year-old’s record-breaking form continued against Southampton, with his two penalties further cementing him into the Liverpool history books.
His Anfield brace now means he ranks above Gordon Hodgson in the Reds all-time top goalscorer list on a staggering 243 goals.
The 32-year-old is on track to make Premier League history this campaign, with Salah closing in on Thierry Henry’s record of 20+ goals and 20+ assists in a single season.
Currently sat on 27 goals and 17 assists, Salah now has a combined total of 44 goal contributions in the Premier League – a tally which takes him above Reds icon Luis Suarez in the all-time list.
That however wasn’t the only Premier League record Salah broke against Southampton, with the Liverpool forward also matching Sergio Aguero’s tally of 184 goals in the all-time top goalscorer list.
Now only three goals behind fourth-placed Andy Cole, you would fancy Salah to leapfrog the ex-Man United man pretty soon.
