Mohamed Salah is closing in on a new contract at Liverpool.
The Egyptian forward's current deal is due to expire on June 30 but The Times reports that there is a growing expectation at Anfield that he will extend his stay beyond this summer, despite strong interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.
Liverpool is said to have always been confident that Salah would stay, and it now appears that that is the case as he moves towards signing a new deal on Merseyside.
The news comes after club captain Virgil van Dijk said last weekend that there had been progress in his talks with the club over a new contract.

Van Dijk's and Salah's current contracts are due to expire on June 30, which is also the case with right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, and the club has faced criticism in recent months for allowing three key players' deals to run down.
However, while Alexander-Arnold looks set to join Real Madrid on a free transfer, it seems as though Salah and Van Dijk are set to commit their futures to Liverpool.
