Mohamed Salah has had his say on Golden Boot rival Erling Haaland(Image: ADRIAN DENNIS/AFP via Getty Images)
Erling Haaland has it 'easy' playing as a centre forward when it comes to scoring goals, says Mohamed Salah.
Liverpool's No.11 has eyes not only on the Premier League title but also the Golden Boot award, so has finally had his say on his closest competitor heading into Sunday's crunch meeting with Manchester City.
Usually it is the reigning champions involved in the hunt for the title at this stage of the Premier League season though unpredictably that has not been the case.
Instead, Liverpool sit eight points clear of Arsenal in what is shaping up to a two-horse race.
And with a trip to the Etihad Stadium to face Man City next, they would not be in that prime position without the 39 league goal contributions of Salah this term.
24 of those have been goals with Haaland trailing five behind, so in a light-hearted fashion the Egyptian has taken a playful swipe at his opposite number.

He said of Haaland during an interview with Sky Germany: "I respect him a lot.
That's why I see it differently between us, because he's a striker and I'm a winger."
A 40th league goal contribution - or a 50th considering all competitions - could very well maintain Liverpool's advantage as table-toppers come end of play on Sunday.
What's more, Man City's No.9 may not even get a right of reply if he fails Pep Guardiola's fitness test tomorrow.
Last weekend the 24-year-old suffered a knee problem that then meant he was unable to leave the bench during his team's Champions League elimination at the hands of Real Madrid on Wednesday.
But even if the opposition is not at full strength or full confidence, Salah recognises there is no room for complacency from the travelling team on Sunday.
