Anfield loved it, just as they have adored the contribution from Salah this campaign that will continue for another two years given his recent signing of a new contract.
For good reason is the Egyptian Liverpool's players of the season.
Fellow starting forwards Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo had already found the target earlier in the game, deserved reward for their excellent performances both on the afternoon and throughout the season.

Against Tottenham, he was everywhere, playing probing passes, nipping in with interceptions and launching into the occasional thunderous tackle, rousing both the crowd and his team-mates in the process.

And it was after Gravenberch had robbed Tottenham youngster Archie Gray on the edge of the area that the ball fell for Mac Allister to bludgeon home from 20 yards before sprinting towards the Main Stand in delight on 24 minutes.
As was shown during the last World Cup with Argentina, Mac Allister is a winner.
And he’s already among the very best midfielders to feature for Liverpool in the Premier League era.
