Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal are reportedly making a significant bid for Real Madrid's Rodrygo, despite rumours linking them with Liverpool's Mo Salah.

The club recently parted ways with Brazilian star Neymar after an unsuccessful stint and have been tipped to make a move for Salah.

However, it seems that Rodrygo is now their primary target as they aim to secure a high-profile signing before the transfer window closes on Friday night.

Spanish reports suggest that the offer for the Brazilian international is in the nine-figure range, with the Saudi Pro League potentially planning to use Rodrygo as the face of the 2034 World Cup, set to be hosted by the nation.

For now, though, it appears that the player is keen to stay at the Bernabeu.

Any progress Al-Hilal make in securing Rodrygo could directly affect their interest in Salah.

It was previously suggested that Neymar's salary needed to be off the books to fund a deal for the Egyptian, who has yet to agree on a contract extension with Liverpool.

Despite previous bids from the Saudi Pro League being rejected by Liverpool, Salah, who is enjoying one of his best seasons with the Reds and could be available on a free transfer in the summer, remains an attractive prospect.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, the Saudi Minister of Sport, has expressed his desire for Liverpool ace Salah to join the ranks of the Saudi football league, echoing the blockbuster move that brought Cristiano Ronaldo to the Middle East.

Speaking on Piers Morgan Uncensored, the Prince said: "He's the most high profile Muslim player in the world.

He's arguably one of the best two or three players in the world.

He's, you know, he's Egyptian, and we have a very good relationship, and we feel like we are one with the Egyptians as well, from our culture and our history and so on.

"So to have Mo Salah or other players that are good role models would be, you know, a pleasure and a privilege to have in the Saudi League.
