Liverpool supporters are still being starved of news about three enormous contact extensions.

The Reds are now just over three months out from the end of the season and remain on course to lose a trio of hugely influential players.

After his performance in Wednesday’s Merseyside Derby, there is an argument that Mohamed Salah is currently the most important figure at Anfield.

Salah has been Liverpool’s best player this season, turning in a remarkable goal-scoring and assisting campaign.

After the Egyptian provided another sensational display at Goodison Park, there will be further calls to ‘give him what he wants’ in terms of a new contract.

As ever during Salah’s contract discussions with the Liverpool owners, agent Ramy Abbas Issa will play a big part in how things end up. And with the dust settling on Wednesday’s draw, Issa has once again caused a stir on social media.

Ramy Abbas Issa hails Arne Slot

Issa is an interesting figure who has been a constant figure during Salah’s career in Europe.

The Colombian born representative has often caused confusion and intrigue amongst Liverpool supporters for his cryptic posts online.

And with Salah’s contract talks very much at the forefront of the fanbase’s collective mind, anything Issa posts is bound to get a reaction.

On Friday, he decided it was time to critique Arne Slot’s time as Liverpool head coach so far.

Responding to a post about Liverpool’s 7-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, Issa aimed a four-word message clearly at Slot.

“Excellent at his job,” he said without further clarification.

What could Issa’s post mean?

Of course, not everything everyone posts has to mean something. There’s every chance Issa was just stating an obvious belief about the job Slot is doing.

However, given that the agent’s posts have often been leading to or meaning something, it is easy to ready something more into things.

Salah is clearly very happy playing under Slot and has been delivering exceptionally this season.

Perhaps Issa’s words could be a veiled critique towards the Liverpool owners and absolving the Dutch coach of any blame should Salah leave this summer?

As ever with these things, it will all come out in the wash. Time will tell.

Responding to a post about Liverpool’s seven point lead at the top of the Premier League table, the agent had a simple four-word message, clearly about Slot.

“Excellent at his job,” says Issa, with no further clarification.
