The October international break has seen a number of Liverpool players involved with their national teams, with Conor Bradley in action last night for Northern Ireland.

The 21-year-old right-back enjoyed a milestone game for the Green and White Army as Bradley wore the captain’s armband for the first time for Northern Ireland, with the defender keeping a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw away to Belarus.

With Bradley having a goal ruled off, it was a strong performance for the young Liverpool defender, who was once again one of Northern Ireland’s brightest sparks despite another poor result for Michael O’Neil’s side.

And Northern Irish media have given their verdict on Bradley’s performance in Hungary.

Although Northern Ireland continue to fall short on the international stage, there were a lot of positives to take from last night’s draw against Belarus, with Bradley being praised by the media for his display.

Belfast Live noted how ‘driven’ Bradley was during his first game wearing the armband for Northern Ireland, with the Liverpool defender doing well to motivate his side to keep pushing and to attack the Belarus defence.

The Belfast Telegraph also praised Bradley for how motivated the 21-year-old was for the occasion, with the right-back lauded for how he attacked Northern Ireland’s opponents and leaving the game frustrated due to the result.

Indeed, Bradley gave an impressive account for himself yet again on the international stage, and heading back to Liverpool next week, the defender will hope he has done enough to earn the approval of Arne Slot to get some minutes under his belt.

And with Bradley performing well over the international break, the young defender will sense an opportunity to get some minutes with Liverpool, especially with how many games the Merseyside giants are playing.

The 21-year-old has impressed whenever given the chance to play for Liverpool, and Bradley will be optimistic about his chances of challenging Trent Alexander-Arnold for the right-back spot when club football is back on the agenda.
